Stephen J. Whelan

Stephen J. Whelan joined Silis & Associates in 2011 after receiving his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Whelan received his Bachelor of Science from Villanova University, where he majored in Marketing and minored in International Business.

While in law school, Mr. Whelan had the privilege to clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Robert J. Conrad at the United States District Court for the Western District of North Carolina. He additionally spent a summer working at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York, New York, and a semester working in the Civil Litigation department for the Washington Metro Area Transit Authority.

Mr. Whelan focuses his practice on business law, where he represents clients in litigation as well as with transactional matters. He also represents clients in matters of family law as well as criminal defense.
